A majestic bison grazing during a late July morning on Catalina Island, California. There are just over 100 bison that are free to roam the island. In 1924, a herd of fourteen was introduced to Catalina as the backdrop for a film production. They were left as a gift and the Catalina Conservancy manages them today.
